Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for admission to the GNM programme, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:
Age Requirement: Applicants must be at least 17 years old and not older than 35 years as of 31st December of the year of admission.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed 10+2 (HSC) or equivalent examination with a minimum of 40% aggregate marks.
Preference is given to students from the Science stream, though Arts students may also apply. SC/ST candidates are eligible with a minimum of 35% aggregate marks. Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English and Marathi is essential. Fluency in English speaking is desirable. Gender Requirement: Only female candidates are eligible to apply. Health Requirement: Applicants must be physically and mentally fit to undergo nursing training, as confirmed by a medical examination.
Reservation of Seats
Reservation of Seats The institute offers 20 seats annually for the GNM programme.
Admitted students will undergo a 3-month probationary period, which includes foundational theory and skill-building classes.
At the end of this period, an evaluation exam will be conducted.
Students who do not pass the evaluation will be required to discontinue the course. In such cases, fees paid (excluding admission fee) will be refunded on a pro-rata basis.
Admission Process
Notification: Admission notifications will be published through the institute’s website and other media platforms.
Application Form: Forms can be obtained in person from the institute’s campus or downloaded from the official website: www.amihealthsangli.org (hypothetical link). The application fee is ₹300, payable in cash or via Bank Draft in favor of Anupama Meghe Institute of Health Sciences, payable at Sangli.
Submission: Completed application forms must be submitted in person or via Registered/Speed Post before the due date. Forms without the prescribed application fee will not be processed.
Documents Required (Attested photocopies): Birth Certificate / High School Certificate HSC/10+2 Certificate and Mark Sheet Transfer Certificate (TC) Migration Certificate (if applicable) SC/ST/OBC Certificate (if applicable) Medical Fitness Certificate Three recent passport-size color photographs Self-addressed envelope (24x10 cm) with ₹30 postage Original documents must be produced during the interview for verification.
Selection Process
Written Test: Eligible applicants will be invited to appear for a 90-minute written entrance exam covering
English Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) Mathematics General Knowledge
Interview: Shortlisted candidates will then appear for a personal interview to assess aptitude and communication skills.
Final Selection: Based on academic performance, entrance test score, and interview.
Medical Examination: Selected candidates must undergo a medical examination at their own cost at a designated facility. Admission will be confirmed only if the candidate is medically fit.
